Privacy note

This is a one person business, so this can be short. I am Marc Winn, I run Welcome Aboard from St Peter Port, and I am the data controller for anything you send me through this site.

What the form collects

Your name, your email address, where you are moving from, who is making the move, where you are in the process, what brings you here, who would be paying, and anything you choose to write in the message box. Nothing else. There are no accounts on this site.

Where it goes

The form is sent by Formspree, a form delivery service, which passes it to me by email. It then sits in my inbox, and in my notes if we go on to work together. That is the whole path.

Visits to this site

The hosting platform counts visits to this site. It records which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visitor was, what kind of device they used and how long they stayed. It does not use cookies, it does not follow anyone around the internet, and none of it identifies you. That is why there is no cookie banner. I look at it to see whether the guide is reaching anyone, and that is all it is for.

What I do with it

I use it to reply to you and, if you become a client, to run the service you are paying for. I do not sell it, share it or rent it. I will not add you to any mailing list from this form. I do run one, and people join it deliberately and elsewhere, never as a side effect of asking me a question. If I ever need to pass something to someone else, for example an introduction to a school or a business, I will ask you first.

Deleting it

Email me and ask, and I will delete what I hold and tell you when it is done. You can also ask for a copy of it, or ask me to correct it. Write to marc@marcwinn.com.

The law

This is handled under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017. If you think I have got something wrong, tell me first and I will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Authority in Guernsey.
