I have lived most of my life in Guernsey. It is home, but it is also a place I keep finding new reasons to be curious about. I am interested in what happens when people bring their ideas, energy and questions to the place they live.
My work connects people and ideas. Sometimes the interesting thing is not the question we started with, but the one that appears halfway through a coffee. A business question turns out to be about the life someone wants. An apparently settled plan opens up when we look at it from another angle.
I like looking for patterns, making unexpected connections and asking the question that has not quite been asked. There is room for warmth and humour in serious conversations. You do not have to arrive with everything neatly worked out.
I co-founded a mail-order business, helped transform it into e-commerce and grew it from zero to a million customers before sale. That experience informs my judgement about building something, letting it go and what comes next, while technology keeps changing the rules.
Ideas have a way of meeting people
In 2014 I joined the word ikigai to Andrés Zuzunaga’s existing purpose Venn diagram. The origin story is part of my writing at theviewinside.me.
The 50 Coffee Adventure is another expression of that curiosity: building connection one conversation at a time. For me, a coffee is a chance to discover what matters to someone, rather than hurry towards a transaction.

Working together over time
A little space to hear yourself think. A kind challenge to an assumption you have carried for years. A possibility you had not noticed. We explore what is really at stake and finish with useful next steps, not a script for how your life should look.
Usually we find a rhythm around a weekly coffee or conversation, with about an hour together as a starting point. I get to know you, your life, your business and what matters around it, so our conversations can go deeper as things unfold.
We return to what you have tried and what has changed. Where a thoughtful introduction could help, I ask both people first. The relationship is with you, not a list of contacts.
£2,000 a month is a guide. We agree the involvement and fee together, with flexibility around travel, availability and changing needs. You can cancel any time; larger pieces of work are agreed separately.
I help you think and choose. Legal, tax, immigration and other specialist advice stays with the qualified professionals responsible for it.
